So life is wonderful on Maui. We been blessed to call Maui homes for so many years. My wife and I are hoping that we can share a little bit our paradise living on Maui's northshore with our guest. So if your looking for unique vacation rental on Maui, you might want to consider Pineapple Cottage Haiku vacation rental on Maui's northshore. Aloha , SteveWinter season lately has produce perfect weather on Maui. So far our cottage the Pineapple Cottage vacation rental in Haiku Maui is off to a great start. We have had a number of guest come through our cottage from Switzerland, Canada and the West Coast. The response has been overwheling positive. Some guest have mention how they love our 2.5 acres island getaway for it's lush tropical feeling, and privacy, myself I feel that way everyday when I drive into our drive way and I am home. Couple of our guest were raving about my wife's banana bread. I would have to say everyone agrees that the Pineapple Cottage is a luxurious island getaway. My wife is a detailed person, making sure every little detail is perfect for our guest. This time of year our trees are going off, and there is nothing better than fresh squeezed orange juice. You can pick your own oranges. I been working on my garden, there is nothing better than fresh greens from the garden, so if your lucky there just might be a crop ready to pick. So that's life on our little oasis in Haiku. Our next endeavor is adding bananas and papayas around the cottage to make it more of a eco-experience. Some reaction we been getting from our guest is how nice it is to be away from condos and actually living in the tropical side of the island. Most of our guest are off and running exploring the island from Hana to Makena. Haiku is a nice quiet location on Maui's northshore. We have great restaurants in Haiku, and people are loving spending time in Paia Town. Winter season has produce some giant surf at our local breaks like Hookipa Beach Park and Jaws. In fact in a couple days we are due for another major swell. This week has also produces some excellent conditions for windsurfing on Maui. I even got a couple days in windsurfing at Kanaha Beach this week, and tomorrow I am heading down for a early surf session.
Well this is my first Pineapple Cottage blog on our Haiku Vacation rental. Well the work was under way from ripping out wood floors, counter tops and ripping out the bathroom. So out with the old, and in with the new. Fresh paint, new wood floors, new granite counter tops, carpets, new walk in shower, blinds, appliances, lights and we were ready for business. The middle of December we received our permits from the county. Two days before Christmas we were officially finished. We walk out the door as our first quest from Switzerland check in. Our first guest love our place, that it was private and quiet. The also loved all the upgrades, everything was brand new. Happy to say the cottage has been booked, people are loving it, so I am back to surfing, windsurfing and selling Maui real estate. We are Happy to be able to offer our new Haiku vacation rental for bookings. We have been living on this property for 26 years and love living here. We have created a small piece of paradise where everything comes together perfectly. So relax and experience the Pineapple Cottage. Aloha, SteveIt has been a random journey in 2015 seeing our vacation rental come into focus. During the middle of 2015 someone suggested about our cottage as a B&B. It was like a light went on in my head. So the process began. My wife Ivy and I started the paper work applying for permits. It was also time to remodel our 12 year old cottage. So the work began in good faith that we were going to get our permits. It took four and half months to remodel, working 24/7 on our cottage. This is my wife Ivy and I, she is one of the hardest working girls I know. She can work just as hard as I can, sometimes she is carrying the ball over the goal line. It was a total remodel, I wasn’t up for gutting the bathroom, but my good friend Roger from Switzerland was helping me and just charged the bathroom with a sludge hammer. On the ladder is his wife Sandra who was a big help also, love these guys. They are currently in Western Australia windsurfing.
